  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. buttermilk

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Cut in Crisco.

    Stir in buttermilk and yeast.

    Refrigerate or roll out on a floured cloth and cut with a biscuit cutter.
