- 1 1/2 c. corn meal
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
Directions

1Combine first 7 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

2Combine eggs, buttermilk and oil and add to dry ingredients, stirring until batter is smooth.

3Spoon the batter into a buttered iron skillet or iron corn stick pan (1/2 full).

4Cook at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.
