  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. sugar
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 pkg. yeast in 1 c. warm water

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together, cut in shortening; add buttermilk and yeast.

    Mix until moistened throughout.

    Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

    Will last 2 weeks in refrigerator. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
