- 2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. Karo syrup (light)
- 2 egg whites
Directions

1Beat egg whites until they hold a stiff peak (at least 2 minutes).

2Put first 3 ingredients in a pan and stir.

3Put on stove and bring to a boil (use medium heat).

4Boil syrup until it spins a 6 to 8-inch thread or 242°.

5Pour hot syrup slowly into egg whites beating all the time.

6Beat until frosting holds its shape (soft peaks).

7This frosting forms a crust, like divinity.
