Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil sugar, water and cornstarch and stir until thick.

    Add remaining ingredients to hot mixture while hot, beating all the time.

    When cool, place in baked pie crust and put 1/2 pint whipped cream on top.
  4. 4
    Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top. Place in refrigerator.
