Angel Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 regular boxes lime gelatin
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 can chunk or tidbit pineapple, drained
  • 1 can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
  • 1 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 pt. whipped cream or 1 pkg. substitute whipped cream mix

Directions

    Dissolve gelatin in 2 cups hot water.

    Add cream cheese to the hot gelatin mixture.

    Measure drained juice from pineapple and fruit cocktail and add water (if necessary) to make 1 1/2 cups. Add this, the marshmallows, pineapple and fruit cocktail to the mixture of gelatin and cream cheese.

    Let congeal.

    Whip cream or prepare whipped cream substitute according to package directions. Fold into the gelatin-fruit mixture, then add nuts.

    Makes a large bowl full of salad.
