- 5 egg yolks, beaten
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 level Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. gelatin
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 1 angel food cake
Directions

1Mix first 4 ingredients; cook until thick.

2Have gelatin ready, dissolved in cup of cold water.

3Add to hot mixture.

4When cool, add vanilla, lemon extract and cream that has been whipped. Cut angel food cake in half and put mixture between halves and over all of cake as if to ice.

5Serve plain or sprinkle with coconut.

6Make and refrigerate the day before serving.

7Serves 16 to 18.
