- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 3 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar and soda together.

2Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast into water and add to flour.

3Stir in buttermilk. Knead with enough flour to make a workable dough.

4Roll out and cut.

5It does not have to rise.

6Bake at 375° until brown.

7This dough will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.

8You can cut out and put back in refrigerator before baking.
