- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine (1/2 stick slightly softened)
- 1 Tbsp. anise seed
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 large eggs
Directions

1Into a large bowl, measure 1 1/2 cups of flour and remaining ingredients.

2With a mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until just mixed.

3Increase speed to medium and beat 3 minutes.

4Scrape bowl occasionally with a rubber spatula.

5With spoon, stir in remaining 1 cup of flour.

6Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm (or place dough in freezer for 30 minutes).
