- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. anise oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. sugar
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together several times. Beat eggs at low speed until frothy.

2Turn mixer to medium; beat 10 minutes longer.

3Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; takes about 7 minutes.

4Turn mixer to low speed.

5Add dry ingredients slowly; beat 15 minutes longer.

6Blend in anise.

7Drop from teaspoon onto 5 to 6 greased cookie sheets.

8Work quickly!

9Allow to stand in a cool place for several hours or overnight.

10Top of cookie should be dry to touch.

11Bake at 325° for about 12 minutes.
