- 1 lb. each finely chopped walnuts and almonds
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 lb. filo (pastry sheets)
- 1 lb. sweet butter, melted
Directions

1In 12 x 18-inch pan place 1 sheet of pastry.

2Brush with melted butter.

3Do this with 5 more sheets of pastry.

4Starting with the 6th sheet, brush with butter, then sprinkle with nuts and sugar/cinnamon mixture. Do this with each sheet until 6 sheets are left.

5Continue to layer remaining sheets, brushing with butter. Bake at 300° for 1 hour.

6Pour hot syrup over baklava and let stand for 3 hours.
