- 3 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 6 large eggs
- 1 bottle (1 oz.) anise extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Preheat 5-inch Pizzelle Iron according to manufacturer's directions.

2In a large bowl of electric mixer, at low speed, beat all ingredients until well blended.

3Spoon a heaping tablespoonful of mixture onto center of Pizzelle Iron (or use amount recommended by manufacturer), cover and bake until golden brown, about 30 seconds.

4Lift cover, carefully lift Pizzelle with small knife. Place on wire rack to cool.

5Repeat with remaining batter.

6Makes approximately 4 1/2 dozen.
