Ingredients

  • 1 large pkg. apricot jello
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 2 small cans mandarin oranges
  • 2 small cans peaches
  • 1 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 c. juice
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. flour
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese

Directions

    Dissolve jello in hot water in large flat Pyrex dish.

    Stir in drained fruit (save juice).

    Sprinkle marshmallows over top and refrigerate.

    Mix sugar, flour and beaten egg.

    Add 1 cup of juice and butter.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it bubbles.

    Chill until cold.

    Chill bowl; beat whipping cream and fold into custard; spread over jello mixture.

    Grate 1/2 cup sharp cheese on top.
