- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar or 1 cup white
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 4 oz butter
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 tbsp boiling water
- 1 tsp baking soda
Directions

1Grease cookie tray and preheat oven to 350F.

2Mix flour, oats, sugar and coconut flakes with a whisk.

3Melt butter and syrup over low heat.

4Add boiling water to baking soda.

5Mix well and remove from heat.

6Mix the liquid and dry ingredients well.

7Drop walnut sized spoon fulls of batter.

8Place on tray with room to expand.

9Cook for 12 to 15 minutes- just until golden brown.

10Let biscuits sit, five minutes, then move to cooling racks.

11Golden Syrup: Inverted sugar syrup thick in consistency sweet in taste.
