Apple and Raspberry Crumble

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (or 3 small apples)
  • 100 grams - frozen Raspberries
  • 1 tbsp - water
  • 1 For topping:
  • 40 grams - Butter/margarine
  • 75 grams - self raising flour
  • 40 grams - sugar
  • 50 grams - rolled oats or oatmeal
  • 1 Almonds (optional)
  • 1 And of course your favourite ice-cream or even custard (as you wish) to serve with the crumble.

Directions

    Heat the oven to 180C or gas mark 5

    Peel and slice the apples
  3. 3
    In a pan, place the sliced apples and the tbsp.
  4. 4
    of water with 1 tbsp.
  5. 5
    sugar.

    leave to simmer on medium heat, until the apples are soft.

    Add in the raspberries and mixed for 1 minute and take of the heat.

    Place the apples and raspberries in an ovenproof dish and set aside until you finish making the topping.

    For the topping:

    Rub the butter/margarine into the flour; and mix in the sugar and oats.

    Sprinkle on the top the fruits in the oven proof dish and press with a fork.

    Bake for approx.

    30 mins or until golden brown.

    Meanwhile: if you are using almonds, you can use as much as you wish, and in a frying pan, place the almonds and toast them.

    Note: Be careful with the almonds and immediately get off the heat when its golden brown otherwise it will burn

    Serve your crumble warm and serve with ice-cream and top with almonds....
