- 1 medium butternut squash
- 3 medium apples
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 tsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix the brown sugar, margarine, flour, salt and cinnamon together until well mixed and set aside.

2Peel and slice the squash and apples into thin (1/8 inch or less) slices.

3Alternate layers of squash, then apples in a 1 1/2-quart covered baking dish until half of the squash and apples are used.

4Spread less than half of the brown sugar mixture on top of the squash-apple layers. Continue to alternate the squash and apples until each is used up.

5Top with remaining brown sugar mixture.

6Cover and cook in microwave on High for 30 minutes.

7Let stand for 10 minutes, or bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
