  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten, add water to measure 3/4 c.
  • 2 handfuls cornflakes
  • 8 to 10 c. apples
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg white, beaten

Directions

    Mix flour, 1 teaspoon sugar and salt.

    Add egg yolk mixture. Divide in half.

    Roll 1/2 out and put in bottom of jelly roll pan. Sprinkle cornflakes over.

    Add apples, sliced and sugar.

    Cover with remaining dough, rolled out.

    Brush with egg white.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.

    Frost with Powdered Sugar Frosting.
