  • 4 cups apples, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. corn starch
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • oleo
  • 1-3/4 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1-1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • oleo

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange apples onto the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan.

    In a large bowl, mix together the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and butter.

    Set aside.

    In a saucepan, mix together the water, sugar, corn starch, vanilla and butter.

    Heat thoroughly.

    Pour the sauce over the apples, then pour the oatmeal mixture over the apples and sauce.

    Bake in oven for 1 hour.
