  • 12 to 14 cooking apples (16 c. chopped)
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Cook apples, water and vinegar in crock-pot 10 to 12 hours (cored and chopped apples, not peeled), until they are mushy. Cook on low heat for 3 more hours, then mix cinnamon, cloves and sugar.

    Puree in strainer and return apples to crock-pot.

    Add spices and sugar.

    Cook 2 hours, uncovered, in crock-pot.

    Pour into hot jars and seal.
