  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. chopped apples
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. nuts

    Cream together shortening and sugars.

    Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition.

    Sift flour, soda and cinnamon together; stir into creamed mixture.

    Add apples and nuts.

    Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Cover with glaze while warm.
