Ingredients: 4 Tbsp. oleo; 1 c. sugar; 1 egg; 1/4 tsp. salt; 2 c. flour; 1 tsp. vanilla; 3/4 c. milk; 2 tsp. baking powder; 6 apples; 4 Tbsp. oleo; sugar and cinnamon mixture; nuts (optional)0

4 Tbsp. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
6 apples
4 Tbsp. oleo
sugar and cinnamon mixture
nuts (optional)0

Directions

Cream together the first 3 ingredients.

Add the next 5 ingredients.

Mix together.

Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Cut apples in eighths and arrange on top of batter.

Melt 4 tablespoons oleo and pour over top of apples.

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over apples.

Nuts are optional.

Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

While still warm, string a glaze of powdered sugar and water over top.

Good with ice cream or whipped cream.
