Apple Cranberry-Nut Pie

- 2 sheets shortcrust pastry
- 1 egg
- 400 g pie apples
- 4 tablespoons dried cranberries (or sultanas)
- 3 tablespoons hazelnut meal
Directions

1Place on sheet of pastry in the bottom of a lightly greased pie dish.

2Combine apples, cranberries, and hazelnut meal.

3Spoon apple filling into pie dish.

4Top with other sheet of pastry, and pinch edges together to seal.

5Brush with the beaten egg, and bake at 180C for 25 minutes until pastry is golden.

6Serve hot, with icecream.
