- 4 large, tart apples
- 1 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Pare and slice apples, place in a greased shallow baking dish. Stir together in a bowl, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add unbeaten egg, melted and cooled butter or margarine.

2Blend with fork until well mixed.

3Drop mixture, by spoonful, over the apples.

4Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

5Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.

6Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
