  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh ginger (not necessary to peel)
  • 3 whole cardamom seeds
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 4 tea bags or 4 tsp loose black tea
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

    In a large covered pot, bring water, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and tea to a boil.

    Uncover and let simmer for 10-15 min.

    Add milk and sugar and return to a boil.
