  • 6 to 8 apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. butter

    Put peeled and cored apples in 2-quart baking dish.

    Add 1/2 cup water and lemon juice.

    Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon.

    Cut butter into dry ingredients with a pastry blender.

    Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake at 375° until apples are tender and top is brown.
