  • 5 to 7 green apples, peeled, cored and sliced (enough for 5 c.)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 deep dish pie crust, thawed

Directions

    Place the crust in a quiche dish.

    Arrange apples in crust. Mix the 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.

    Mix flour and 1/3 cup sugar.

    Cut in butter until crumbly.

    Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Cool.

    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
