  • 6 to 7 sliced apples
  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    Grease baking dish 13 x 9 x 2-inches.

    Put apples in dish. Cream butter and sugar; work in flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 325° for 20 minutes or until apples are tender.
