- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 5 or 6 apples
Directions

1Sift flour, salt, sugar and cinnamon.

2With pastry blender, thoroughly cut in butter until mixture looks like crumbs.

3Cut apples into slices.

4Put apples in baking pan; sprinkle with walnuts.

5Pile mixture on top.

6Bake until tender, about 55 minutes at 350°.

7Place under broiler to brown top lightly.

8Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
