- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 egg yolk
- milk (to make 2/3 c. with egg yolk)
- 10 to 12 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg white
Directions

1Mix together for crust the flour, salt, Crisco, egg yolk and milk.

2Roll out 1/2 crust to jelly roll pan size.

3Add apples, mixed with sugar and cinnamon.

4Top with another 1/2 dough.

5Beat egg white and brush on crust.

6Bake at 350° for one hour.

7Frost while warm with powdered sugar frosting.

8Serves 12 to 15 or more.
