  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. finely chopped apples
  • nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Cream sugar and oil; stir in eggs.

    Sift together flour and soda.

    Combine all ingredients and mix well.

    Pour batter in lightly greased cake pan and bake at 325° for one hour or until done.

    Then pour the following syrup over the cake and let stand for two hours before removing cake from pan.
