- 1 c. chopped apples
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sour milk
Directions

1Prepare apples, dates and nuts.

2Cream together butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

3Add the well beaten egg and blend until smooth.

4Stir in the fruit and nuts.

5Sift together the dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour milk. (Make sour milk by adding 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to 1/2 cup milk.)

6Place in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and let stand 10 minutes.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until bread tests done.
