- 1/2 c. wheat bran
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. chopped dates
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. grated, peeled apple
Directions

1In large bowl, combine whole wheat and all-purpose flours, bran, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; stir in dates.

2In another bowl, beat egg with sugar and oil; stir in milk and apple. Pour into flour mixture and stir just enough to moisten, being careful not to overmix.
