Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 c. apples, pared and sliced
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 box dry yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick melted butter or oleo
  • 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c. coconut (optional)

Directions

    Place apples, sugar and cinnamon in a 9 x 13 sprayed cake pan.

    Mix together.

    Sprinkle cake mix evenly over it.

    Put nuts and coconut over mixture.

    Pour melted butter over all.

    Bake at 350° until apples are done and top is brown (about 30 to 35 minutes).

    Serve with whipped cream.
