Apple Dumpling

  • 8 - 10 apples
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • butter or margarine
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 can biscuits
  • cinnamon

    Peel and slice apples.

    In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, put 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 stick butter and water, set in 325° oven to heat.

    Roll out 10 canned biscuits on floured board about the size of a saucer or a little larger.

    Hold dough in hand and fill with apples.

    Add 1 tsp. sugar and pinch together.

    Put pinched side down in hot liquid.

    Put pat of butter on each dumpling and sprinkle another 3/4 c. sugar on top with cinnamon.

    Bake for 1 hour.
