- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 6 apples, peeled and cored
- Pastry
- cinnamon to taste
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Place 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 1 teaspoon butter inside each apple.

2Place 1 apple on each pastry square.

3Fold dough to enclose apple, sealing edges.

4Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

5Bring remaining 1 cup sugar, margarine, cinnamon and water to a boil in saucepan.

6Cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

7Pour over dumplings.

8Bake at 350° for 1 hour, basting with pan juices every 10 minutes.
