Apple Dumplings

- 1 can crescent rolls (makes 8 rolls)
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1/2 stick butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2/3 cup mountain dew
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350

2Core & peel apple.

3Cut into 8 wedges

4Roll each apple wedge in crescent dough, sealing edges.

5Place in 8x8 ungreased cake pan

6In small bowl, combine butter, sugar and cinnamon

7Spoon sugar mixture over dumplings

8Pour mountain dew on top of dumplings (gently, to not wash off sugar)

9Bake on middle rack, uncovered, for 45 minutes

10Let sit for 5 minutes before serving

11* I use the sugary liquid on bottom of pan to top each dumpling

12* I serve my dumplings warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!
