Apple Dumplings

  • 1 pkg. (15 oz.) ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust
  • 8 small baking apples, peeled, cored
  • 1 cup
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (for garnish)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400F

    Roll each crust on floured board into 10x8-inch rectangle.

    Cut each crust into 4 rectangles.

    Place apple in center of each pastry piece.

    Bring corners of pastry to top of apple, pinching seams to seal well.

    Place on lightly greased baking sheet or in 12x8-inch baking dish.

    Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.

    Heat syrup and cinnamon in small saucepan 5 to 10 minutes over medium heat or until hot.

    (Do not bring to boil.)

    Serve warm dumplings with hot syrup mixture and whipped topping.
