Apple-Nut Cake

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. chopped, peeled and cored apples
  • 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

    Measure all but last 2 ingredients into large bowl.

    Mix on low speed of mixer, scraping sides of bowl.

    Fold in apples and chopped nuts.

    Spread batter in greased, floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean in a 350° oven.

    Cool 10 minutes.
