  • 3 c. cake flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. corn oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. fresh apples, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Sift the flour, soda and salt together 3 times.

    Add the corn oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Prepare apples and nuts.

    Add flour, a little at a time, to sugar mixture.

    Add apples and nuts last.

    Mix well.

    Put in oven set at 325° and bake 45 minutes. Makes 3 layers.
