  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3 T butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 t. vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. shredded peeled apple
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • APPLE SYRUP:
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 4 t. cornstarch
  • 1/4 t. ground allspice
  • 1 1/2 c. apple juice
