- 4 to 5 c. tart apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- dash of nutmeg
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together.

2Peel and slice apples in water with 1 tablespoon lemon juice in it.

3Drain apples.

4Fold dry ingredients into apples.

5Pour into unbaked pie shell.

6Cream butter and brown sugar.

7Cut in 3/4 cup flour.

8Sprinkle over apples in pie shell.

9Bake at 425° for 45 to 55 minutes.

10If browns too much, reduce heat.
