Ingredients
- 3 to 4 tart apples
- ??? c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Peel and core apples.

2Slice and saute in 1/3 cup butter for 5 minutes.

3Mix sugar and spices and add to apples.

4Cover and cook for 10 minutes.

5Cool.

6Mix eggs, milk, flour and salt.

7Beat with rotary beater for 2 minutes.

8Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons batter in 10-inch ovenproof skillet.

9Pour batter into pan.

10Bake in preheated very hot oven (450°) for 15 minutes.

11As soon as batter puffs up in center, puncture with fork, repeating as often as necessary.

12Lower heat to 350° and bake for 10 minutes.

13Remove from oven and spread warm apple mixture over whole surface of pancake.

14May use more sugar and butter when serving or serve as is.
