Apple Persimmon Sauce

- 2 persimmons peeled and cubed
- 6 apples peeled and cubed, I used granny smith
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg freshly
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil.

2Cover and reduce heat to medium low. Simmer for 25-30 minutes.

3Mash apple sauce with a potato masher until it's your desired consistency.

4Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

5Can also be frozen and stored for up to a year.
