- 6 to 7 c. sliced apples
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

1Pare, core and slice the apples.

2Line a 9-inch pie pan with a pie crust.

3Place a layer of apples over the bottom.

4Sprinkle with a mixture of the sugar, cinnamon and salt.

5Add top sheet of pastry and cut slits into it to allow for escape of steam. Flute edges. Bake in a 425° oven for about 50 minutes or until apples are tender and crust a golden brown.
