  • 8 to 10 apples, pared, cored and sliced thin
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • pastry for 2 crust, 9-inch pie (recommend Flako)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon juice and apples in bowl; mix together until apples are coated.

    Make crust; line 9-inch pie plate.

    Fill with apple mixture; dot with butter.

    Adjust top crust, cutting slits for escape of steam; seal.

    Sprinkle with sugar.

    Bake at 400° for 50 minutes or until done.

    Put foil over edges to prevent over browning.
