  • 4 each Granny Smith apples (tart)
  • 4 each Fuji Apples (sweet)
  • 2 each Lemon's Juice (1/2 cup)
  • 3/4 cup Sugar (white)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp All purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp Cubed butter
  • 2 Pie crust- ready or homemade

    Slice apples.

    After the first few slices, pour the lemon juice in the bowl with Apples.

    This keeps apples from browning while you are slicing.

    Add the remaining 6 ingredients.

    The mixtures will begin to moisten as you fold ingredients.

    Press crust in pie pan.

    Pour mixture in.

    Place pats of butter around mixture.

    Top with the second crust.

    Seal.

    Slice 3 small slits on the top crust.

    Bake at 375F until crust is golden brown and mixture is bubbling, one hour.
