- 250 g short pastry
- 4 -6 green apples
- 14 cup water
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 12 cup flour
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 45 g butter
- 14 cup brown sugar
Directions

1Peel, core and slice apples, place in saucepan with water cinnamon and brown sugar.

2Cover, cook over medium heat until apples are just tender.

3Cool.

4Sift flour, baking powder and cinnamon into bowl.

5Rub in butter lightly, until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

6Add brown sugar, mix thoroughly.

7Roll our pastry to line a pie dish.

8Spoon in cooled apples and cover with prepared crumble mix.

9Bake in a moderate (180 C) oven 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

10Serve with cream or custard.
