Ingredients

  • pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
  • 2 Tbsp. Equal Measure or 20 pkg. Equal
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • dash of salt
  • 6 c. thinly sliced pared tart apples (4 to 6 Granny Smith)
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    In a mixing bowl combine Equal Measure, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Add dry mixture to apples; toss gently to coat fruit. Fill a pastry lined 9-inch pie plate with apple mixture.

    Dot with margarine.

    Cover with top crust, that has slits in it.

    Seal and flute edge. Bake 15 minutes at 425° and turn oven down to 350° and bake an additional 30 minutes.
