  • 1 c. water
  • 6 c. sliced peeled and cored apples
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 pkt powdered pectin
  • 1/2 c. thinly-sliced lemon
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp nutmeg

Directions

    Combine apples, water and lemon juice in large saucepan.

    Simmer, covered,10 min.

    Stir in pectin and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.

    Add in lemon slices and sugar.

    Return to a rolling boil.

    Boil hard 1 minute, stirring frequently.

    Remove from heat; add in nutmeg.

    Pour in warm jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space.

    Adjust caps.

    Process 10 min in boiling water bath.
