- 1 c. water
- 6 c. sliced peeled and cored apples
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 pkt powdered pectin
- 1/2 c. thinly-sliced lemon
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp nutmeg
Directions

1Combine apples, water and lemon juice in large saucepan.

2Simmer, covered,10 min.

3Stir in pectin and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.

4Add in lemon slices and sugar.

5Return to a rolling boil.

6Boil hard 1 minute, stirring frequently.

7Remove from heat; add in nutmeg.

8Pour in warm jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space.

9Adjust caps.

10Process 10 min in boiling water bath.

11This recipe yields about 6 half-pints.
