  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Slice apples (about 5 or 6) in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sweeten apples and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon as for pie.

    Mix recipe and pour over apples. Bake at 350° until cake is done.
